Flute Player and Village Cuff
Tribe: Hopi
Sterling silver Hopi overlay cuff bracelet by Beauford Dawahoya (1928–1998), made in 1989. This intricate design depicts a ceremonial flute procession moving through a traditional Hopi village, rendered in precise overlay with fine hatch-textured detail. On one end of the bracelet, a lightning bolt, clouds, and rain symbols appear above a kiva. The opposing end features prayer feathers, reinforcing themes of reverence and offering. Dawahoya’s hallmark clarity and balance are on full display in this powerful scene of communal tradition and sacred ceremony.
Part of the historic Kopavi Collection, this bracelet has never been previously owned.
