Hand-Carved and Painted Hopi Crow Mother (Angwusnasomtaka) Kachina. Old-style Kachinas are traditionally made for hanging, and this carving includes a loop on the back for wall display.

The Crow Mother Kachina, is a revered matriarch and protector of children. As the mother of all kachinas, she plays a central role in initiation ceremonies, guiding and nurturing the young as they enter the spiritual life of the Hopi. With her powerful presence and deep wisdom, Crow Mother symbolizes compassion, discipline, and the sacred responsibility of teaching future generations.
