1970s Coral Yei Ring
Tribe: Navajo (Diné)
1970s sterling silver Yei figure ring by renowned Navajo silversmith Helen Long. This highly dimensional figural design is set with six natural red coral cabochons, including three stones forming the ceremonial headdress, two eyes, and one larger stone at the center of the body. Applied silverwork, twisted wire, stamped details, and oxidized recesses bring the figure’s face, clothing, feather, and ceremonial objects to life. The sculptural Yei (Navajo Healing Spirit) is mounted on a split sterling silver band.
