Bruce Nez is a talented Navajo weaver who was born into a family of fine Burntwater weavers. He learned to weave the Bird Pictorial regional style from his wife, Nadine Nez, and her family. Bruce is known for his innovative designs such as rounded corn stalk leaves (very difficult to produce in a weaving), the Rainbow Guardian bordering his Bird Pictorial, and Bird Pictorial on Burntwater.
Occasionally, Bruce Nez collaborates with his wife, Nadine Nez, on larger weavings. Their work is featured in such publications as Enduring Traditions by Jerry and Lois Jacka
