My Germantown Sampler

Pictorial weaving titled "My Germantown Sampler" by Morris Muskett, handwoven in traditional Churro wool sourced near Ojo Caliente, New Mexico. The composition features a central diamond and stepped geometric forms in a soft, luminous palette created primarily with vegetal dyes, including logwood purple, indigo blue, Navajo tea yellow, Navajo tea overdyed with indigo for green, madder root orange, and cochineal red, with some bright aniline colors incorporated in the lower section. The design has the look of a color study or sampler, balancing broad fields of pastel tones with crisp patterned bands and brighter accents.
