Tuhavi and Koyemsi Kachina
Tribe: Hopi
Hand-Carved and Painted Blind Koyemsi (Mudhead) and Paralyzed Tuhavi Kachina. This Kachina is a powerful representation of cooperation and interdependence. In this traditional Hopi teaching, the blind Koyemsi carries the paralyzed Tuhavi on his back, while the Tuhavi uses his eyes to guide and provide for them both. Together, they overcome their individual limitations, reminding the community that survival and harmony come through mutual support and unity.
