Hopi Roadrunner (Hospoa) Kachina doll carved from cottonwood root by Jonathan Gaseoma. Hospoa is part of the Hopi Kachina tradition and is associated with the roadrunner, a bird recognized in the Southwest for its speed and alertness. 

Old-style Kachinas are traditionally made for hanging, and this figure includes a loop on the back for wall display.
