Hopi Seed Pot

Hand-coiled Hopi pottery seed pot by Delmar Polacca, featuring a carved and painted Hopi figure holding a ceremonial pipe. The design is executed in low relief, with incised and painted detailing that gives the figure movement across the form. Finished in natural clay tones with red and black pigments, and traditionally fired, reflecting Polacca’s blend of traditional Hopi pottery techniques with sculptural, figurative imagery. Signed on the underside, with a small firing hole at the base typical of seed pot construction.
