Gold on Silver Petroglyph Bolo Tie
Tribe: Zuni
Sterling silver bolo tie by Myron Panteah, Zuni/Navajo, featuring a free-hand cutout petroglyph design with 14K gold appliqué symbols, including female rain, migration swirl, and rain drops. The openwork silver design includes hand, animal, figure, water, and other petroglyph-style motifs across a textured surface, framed by a polished silver border. The bolo is finished with a figure-eight backing, a 46” braided black leather cord, and custom sterling silver tips. Panteah (1966 - 2016) was known for cutting his designs freehand with a diamond-tipped saw, creating intricate compositions without a drawn template.
