1920s Chinle
Tribe: Navajo (Diné)
1920s Navajo Chinle weaving with a repeating diamond design in natural gray and ivory wool, accented with black geometric outlines and small red motifs. The composition has the open field and banded layout associated with early Chinle-style weavings, framed by a narrow red inner border and soft outer border. One side shows more fading than the other, creating A/B side color variation, and there are a number of small stains with minimal edge wear. Priced and sold as is.
