Gold and Coral Pendant

14k gold pendant set with coral, handmade by Mary Marie Yazzie Lincoln, a Navajo master jeweler from the celebrated Yazzie family near Gallup, New Mexico. Mary Marie is the sister of Lee and Raymond Yazzie and learned silversmithing from her brother Lee. Her parents, Chee and Elsie Yazzie, were also respected silversmiths who worked at Zuni Pueblo in the 1940s.

The pendant features rich salmon-orange coral in a graceful teardrop form, bordered by fine gold beadwork and a hand-stamped gold frame. The fluted bail adds sculptural detail and gives the piece a classic Yazzie family elegance.
