1960s Apache Crown Dancer Buckle
Tribe: Zuni
1960s Zuni sterling silver Western-style belt buckle with a pictorial inlay scene depicting an Apache Crown (Gaan) Dancer, saguaro cactus, and fire. The scene is set into a gently curved rectangular silver buckle and features multi-stone inlay, including turquoise, shell, jet, and coral. The buckle is unsigned, so the artist is unknown, but the figural inlay work is consistent with vintage Zuni pictorial jewelry of the period. Surface wear and patina are present from age and use.
