Hand-burned and painted wood wall plaque by Hopi artist Ted Pavatea, featuring a central Sunface design surrounded by a radiating border of geometric forms. The Sunface, or Tawa, is an important Hopi symbol associated with life, warmth, growth, and the sun’s role in sustaining crops and community well-being. The surrounding stepped and triangular motifs suggest rain, clouds, and directional movement, tying the design to themes of balance, seasonal renewal, and agricultural blessing. Finished with a cord for wall display.
