Lapis Cluster Earrings

Sterling silver post earrings by Navajo silversmith Kirk Smith (1957–2012), made in the 2000s and set with clusters of lapis. Each earring features a large rectangular center stone surrounded by oval lapis cabochons, with silver drops and darkened silverwork adding depth and contrast.

The lapis has a rich deep blue color with natural pyrite inclusions. Signed “Kirk Smith” and marked sterling.
