Daniel Tullie

Daniel Tullie was born on June 25, 1982 to Darlene Joe and Virgil Tullie and is the second of four children. He was raised in Winslow, Arizona.

Daniel is drawn to design in its many forms. He attended Arizona State University, where he studied environmental design, and further expanded his perspective through travel in Spain, France, and Italy. He also spent a summer at Harvard studying design architecture. He particularly enjoys graphic design work and photography.

Daniel has found success operating pop-up coffee stations across the Navajo Nation, often appearing at community events. Inspired by his grandmother’s words that people will always seek out food and coffee, his ventures have grown to include events in Phoenix and California.

Daniel comes from a family of talented jewelers. His grandfather, Cobert Joe Sr. is a silversmith. Daniel first began his jewelry career by working for noted Navajo artist, Cody Sanderson. He has also worked alongside his well-known uncle, Al Joe, and his cousin, Bryan Joe.

Though early in his independent jewelry career, Daniel demonstrates strong potential as a jewelry artist. He is driven and cares deeply about his Navajo (Diné) heritage.
